Description
Designed to reduce exposure to chemical and biological warfare agents. NIOSH-approved for use with the 3M™ Full Facepiece Respirator FR-M40 for acid gases, CN, CS, and P100 particulate filter.
The 3M™ Cartridge FR-C2A1 is designed to reduce exposure to chemical and biological warfare agents. Used by the United States Military. NIOSH approved with the 3M™ Full Facepiece Respirator FR-M40 for sulfur dioxide, chlorine, hydrogen chloride, CN, CS and P100 particulate.
Contains both a carbon bed and particulate filter. As a particulate filter, it is tested to be at least 99.97% efficient against a 0.3 mm MMAD (Mass Median Aerodynamic Diameter) aerosol challenge at 85 L/min. The carbon is tested with hydrogen cyanide, cyanogen chloride, phosgene and the nerve agent simulant dimethyl methylphosphonate to specifications MIL-C-51560A (EA) and EA-C-1704.
Can filter particulates and adsorb a wide range of chemical and warfare agents: nerve agents - tabun (GA), sarin (GB), soman (GD), VX; mustard agents - H, HD, L; tear agents - CN, CS, OC; blood agents - hydrogen cyanide (AC), cyanogen chloride (CK), arsine (SA); choking agents - chlorine, phosgene, chloropicrin (PS), and diphenylchloroarsine (DA).
Designed to help provide respiratory protection against certain airborne contaminants when used in accordance with all use and limitation instructions and applicable safety and health regulations.
Note: There is currently no NIOSH-approval schedule for negative pressure respirators used against chemical or biological warfare agents.
