Description

The 3M™ Speedglas™ 9100 Welding Helmet was designed to offer enhanced comfort and protection to professional welders. It features a new, flexible head suspension that conforms to the welder’s head to reduce pressure in pressure-sensitive areas. Plus, the revolutionary design allows the 9100 to cover more vulnerable areas, such as the ears and sides of the neck. Three lens options are also available—9100V, 9100X and the new 9100XX, which is 30% larger than our current ADFs. Finally, improved sidewindow features with replaceable covers allow for enhanced peripheral and downward viewing to improve safety and reduce the “tunnel vision” effect.

  • Front of headband self-adjusts with patented bogie pads to help reduce pressure and increase blood flow.
  • Back of headband is self-adjusting and swivels to fit different head shapes.
  • Four settings let you determine the distance between your face and the helmet.
  • Unique two-strap crown adjustment for increased stability and reduced pressure.
  • Smooth ratchet mechanism lets you manually tighten the helmet to your personal preference.
  • Lowered center of gravity helps make the helmet feel more balanced and stable in all positions, which lessens the need to over-tighten the headband.
  • Helmet offers a smoother up-and-down pivot action that gently “locks” in the up position.
  • Three new auto-darkening filters (ADFs) of differing sizes are available (X, V, XX), with built-in mag plate holder
  • Features seven user-selectable dark shades (5, 8-13), with the option to lock-in your shade for torch and plasma cutting.
  • Offers a tack welding comfort mode to help reduce eye fatigue, and a shade 3 grinding mode.
